Winter
Well another fishing season is in the books! We saw an amazing year with all species cooperating just nicely. Stripedbass in the spring was fantastic. There was a very good showing of large fluke all season long, and the Seabass you couldn’t keep off a hook. There was very good Tuna fishing in the near shore grounds for Yellowfin and Bluefin. We saw very promising Cod fishing this year, however there are new regulations passed that are restricting the season. Blackfishing was as good as it gets, and fall mixed bag trips saw filleted bags stuffed to the brims with bottom dwellers. We have been experiencing a very mild winter, so we will see what that brings for the upcoming season. As for now it is fresh water fishing with white perch and the occasional Walleye. March is a great time to hit the fresh water scene as the fish will be hungry after the long winter.
